Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Size comparison of "Kronosaurus" boyacensis, a giant pliosaurid from Colombia. Despite being referred to Kronosaurus, "K." boyacensis is more closely related to Sachicasaurus. The pliosaur was reconstructed with a length of 9.7 metres (32 ft), and was drawn after the measurements and photogrammetric reconstruction in McHenry (2009). Information from Kronosaurus queenslandicus and Sachicasaurus vitae was used to fill in missing areas and restore crushed regions of the specimen. The diver silhoutte from File:Scuba33.jpg, which is by NOAA and in the public domain.
